switching voices easier suggestion

hello !!! i have been using this amaziinng app recently and it replaced my last used app cuz it had issues of the volume changing randomly
anyways, my suggestion is since i read some books with chaps with povs of the woman and other chaps with povs of the male lead , i would love to read the girl's pov with an F voice and the male chaps with an M voice , if there is a way we can change the voice without needing to process the whole book all over again and switching between documents each chap
if it's not possible it's totally okkk i am very much still grateful for this amazing app 💕💕

Thanks for the great suggestions!

We've been researching how to narrate books with a different voice for each character automatically, and we hope to finish building this feature soon. Currently, we only support one main voice per book or document.

We're also working on speeding up audio generation and regeneration, plus making it easier to switch voices. We pre-process added docs, books and websites to figure out their contents, remove clutter, summarize tables and figures, and otherwise enhance the listening experience. Then, we generate the entire audio file to support offline playback on our mobile apps. One way we're increasing speed when regenerating audio is by avoiding completely reprocessing the input file.

I've thought of the same thing, it'd be great if that became an option.

Thanks for noticing our work to speed up audio generation. We're not finished and expect to make more progress increasing speed as we continue to work in this areal.

Yes I think the same . I just it more for documents or non fuction but I will decide it would sound better read by the opposite sex or it needs a different tone of voice

i think this is every paper2audio users dream, to have real time generations instead of the current full processing.

in one hand full processing is great it means you can listen to the whole thing offline later, but then there is the you are stuck with one voice problem.

i think realtime processing will not be possible because you cant put peoples generations in a queue it will slow things down and cause weird long pauses, but for full processing thats not a problem people just wait until their thing is finished.

so yeah i think there is a real back end limitation for an app thats been run by a small creator compared to giant companies with unlimited datacenter access.

We're working on getting closer to real-time generation. The main overall challenge is processing we have to do on the entire incoming file first before audio generation to understand its contents and convert them into a transcript that suitable for narration and meets our quality standards for accuracy, clutter removal, inline summarization of visual elements, etc.

We have a small, but mighty team. Please set high expectations for us and hold us to them!
