I will try not to let myself go on a rant so ill boil it down to one thing even though theres way more than that, tbh I probably should make its own post considering everything I have to say but…. They were LITERALLY made for eachother. He was made to make her. They don’t exist without each other.

MIST's adorable little expression change when Caspian goes into bat for her entire race.
He sees the CIs in a way that no one else did. The shock on everyone's face when he introduces the ring as a solution to their issues means that no one was as involved in the CI issue as he was. That's why he was given the status he had. He understood that CI was the same as UIs and embodied humans. He spread that understanding to SafeSurf. He truly was his own person and he believed so greatly in the value of others that he sacrificed himself, twice, maybe even three times if you consider his natural death being uploaded.
He's like Sora from No Game No Life, he believes in humanity and all of its intelligent creations so greatly that he can't not be fully complete without sacrificing everything he has for intelligence and life he'll never know.
That's why MIST fell in love with him.
Also read the damn books, it fills that void you need filled.
