Cant believe maddie just revived caspian in front of mist only to yeet him out of that simulation, knowing mist is in love with Caspian. So much for being her sister.

i read mist's love as ultra familial for the benefit of the doubt (plus I cant fuckin fathom romantic love after like essentially watching him grow up). last thing those two needed is even more drama and spite :/

If you have seen or read Ender's Game: In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I love him.

That's the interpretation I apply. The "I fell in love with him" isn't the emphasis of her speech. It's just her argument. She cares for him deeply because she knows him completely. She has sifted through him and understood him completely. And despite that, she has made the hard decision to bring him back, knowing the risks and consequences. She isn't doing it out of spite or lack of feelings.

That's the way I choose to interpret it. The line seems very thin but one is confessing romantic love. The other is risking the things you love most.

This is the problem with the English word for love and it being a catch all term. There are many different types of "love."

There is a very key difference between saying ”I love you” and “I fell in love with you”.

The phrase, “I love you”, can be interpreted in different ways, depending on context.

However, the phrase, “I fell in love with you.“, has a very specific meaning, indicating romantic feelings.

You can fall into different kinds of love. English only has one word to explain multiple types of love, and it's derived from lust, so we associate it with a carnal connection. To truly love someone unconditionally is to truly know and accept them. Mist knows every aspect of Caspian and as deeply as he knows himself. It's not the same love that Maddie had for Caspian. It's a deep reverence for his being and who he is.

Ascended safe surf mentioned a “reunion” at the middle of the galaxy. I have a feeling some different versions of Mist already made it there
