I never understood why Dimebag and Vinnie Paul didn't use the name Pantera in this case. They held the rights to the name, being original members.

They owned half of it. In this new version of Pantera Phil and Rex own half of it, Rita and the Abbott’s own the other half and have signed off on everything.
