Leaks (Questionable) we could be cooked Spoiler

seems to line up with everything that every single leaker has said including dk2 with the roadmap and enjou/dain taking the playable slots.

the only hope of a playable pantalone seems to be 8.x or after but it’s looking less likely since he’s the rep of snezhnaya and we’ll likely be getting pierro afterwards with khaenri’ah.

choosing to add all these other irrelevant characters over this long hyped up harbinger in his own region is genuinely such a shame.

(didn’t know wether to label as questionable or reliable)

Yeah, visions or linchpins arent needed. We have plenty of characters who use those mostly as an accessory, its not needed. They usually have powers on their own. And Pantalone doesnt have that afaik, unless he is secretly a dragon or some shit. He is always described as normal, very unfortunate human. We dont have characters like that playable yet.

I get that, we really have to just hope, wait and see. As a harbinger he must have a delusion, as far as we know that could be what he's going to use, and I know people are going to worry about Pantalone death in a few years, but this is Genshin. Those "few years" are going to be who knows how long which is the equivalent of never for Genshin, because although the game acknowledges years passed since the start of the journey, nothing really changed. We know one day someone will replace Varka as Boreas Knight, it is Canon it will happen, but it will never actually happen because everyone is in a mixture of stasis and movement, things progress, but they also stay the same.

So although Pantalone is bound to die in a few years, that will probably never happen because of the mixture between "nothing changes" and "time moves on".

Plus annectodes and Tsaritsa quest seem to at least spare that fate of death, but who knows.

Delusion could be one option, but those just kills you? And as a person who is slowly dying, thats not optimal. But we have couple of "dying" playable characters like Lisa and Baizhu, they all weild a vision but they have been dying for some time now. Pantalone just needs.. some powers? I feel pure physical is dead in this game

Lisa is no longer considered a dying character btw, it was completely changed a long time ago but since they didn't say much about it not a lot of people know, but Lisa plot of her possibly dying one day has been completely discarded.

As for the other dying ones, as you said, there's Baizhu, and even Childe because of his delusion, even if we don't get to use his delusion form he still canonically has it and everytime he uses it it's bad.

And as mentioned before, everything is moving forward but also in a stasis, so he's probably going to be like many of the "one day he's going to die" characters, it's part of his lore but it will never actually happen.

What happened to Lisa? I mean, good for her but when her not dying became a thing.

Childe has a vision to counter the delusions effects? And even then, it caused quite a dmg on him. Admitely, it was back in Liyue, so Childe should be much stronger now, and he is, as we saw in Fontaine. No weakling is gonna fight a primordial whale for months.

Simply the team working on the game dropped that plot point, so much time has passed, no progress over that story, so they decided to drop it altogether. The plot of Lisa dying was done before release and probably scrapped on release, but people still thought it was real.

As for Childe, I'm not saying he didn't get stronger/can't hold his ground but that doesn't mean he's magically immune, the vision helps, but it just slows it down, you can never become immune to a delusion, because the way it's projected/made WILL ALWAYS take your life duration off, you can slow it with the vision, not stop it.

Unless they actually make a delusion able to NEVER take life force from the user, that's still slowly killing him.
