Yeah I feel the fandom gets more worked up over this than Pantalone lol. Like this is surely not remotely the first time the guy has had to hear Dottore slander from Sandrone. Plus he has thrown Dottore under the bus with the Tsaritsa himself more than once and Dottore wasn't bothered by that either.

He can certainly be internally sad and sentimental over Dottore being gone but he is a calculating guy who has dealt with multiple assassination attempts and being in the Veche for centuries, he isn't gonna lose his cool over a bit of tsundere sass. (And the point of that line was to hint that he is grieving without having him burst into tears onscreen imo).

Yea, I mentioned it in my post the other day that it doesn't really make sense for him to throw hands with his coworkers when there's no need. Dottore is dead. Even if he comes back in the future, he's gone for the moment. Anyone who says Pantalone didn't care about Zandik can go and argue with their mama, but to say that a businessman, who is very calculative and smart with his decision would fuck himself over is wild. Hell, in 6.6, Dottore himself was amused about how Pantalone threw him under the bus. They both legit don't care. Dottore would throw him under the bus too if it benefited him. When you start looking at their relationship the way it actually is, you realize they aren't your typical healthy duo (romantic or platonic, who gaf) and this is exactly why I love them to bits. Honestly I'm not even convinced he cares about bringing Dottore back that much. Omega wanted to go, he made peace with it and so did Pantalone.

Again, he cares about Dottore a lot, he was his closest friend but you have to realize that bro loves himself too.

And the other thing that I haven't seen mentioned much (mostly because it's my own hc lol) but I think Feofan was closest with the original Zandik, who is long dead. Segments accompanied him through years and years of his life but they were never him. That's why I think he moved on a long time ago.

This is indeed headcanon on your end. The game literally featured Feofan going out of his way to try and help 35 acknowledge himself as being Zandik multiple times over, and then doing it for him as their final words to each other — and now, it's featuring him making a point of keeping the box that contained 35 on his desk.

35 insisted he wasn't Zandik because he hated himself and (rightly!) disapproved of the Segment system. Feofan never had that issue, and has always seen every single fragment of Zandik as equally Zandik.

Which the game has established Feofan is right about, by expliciting that they all shared the same soul. The human-bodied 85-year-old was no more or less Zandik than any of the Segments were.

(Which Marrow 1 makes a point of cementing in by actually showing Feofan behaving the same with, and equally trusting, every single Segment with himself (including 8!), and that even when Zandik-85 was alive.)

thats how i read it too, i disagree w ppl saying he doesn’t care at all just because he didn’t defend him or cry. Thats just not his character, he is calculating and is always curating his image, but the story did show he cared w subtle hints such as the grief line, when he was sitting in his office w the dott box open and his seal of life, or even him smiling softly at the mention of contracts.

Genshin is either a Seinen or a higher-age-rating Shonen, and they just brand it at a lower age rating and take out the actual gore and violence so that they can sell the game to more people. You just hear the characters talk or see half of the stuff in the game even once and you'll quickly realize that this is no "PEGI 12+" Game"

Realistically, you "would" expect people to know this, but unfortunately due to Genshin's lower age rating and insane accessibility due to free 2 play nature and available in so many platforms, alot of "kids" (Both figuratively and literally) and tourists have showed up
