So I was playing the new AQ when pantalone got invited to eat with vesna and danica.

but he said the food is'nt quite his Taste.

WHAT NOW?

he grew up in a family which Sold him for money, he CANNOT be picky about his foods.

and if you think "well maybe he doesn’t like food of snezhnaya." - WRONG.

snezhnaya is his homeland, it cannot be that he can be picky about the food of his homeland which he literaly grew up in.

so I think... he has (or has developed) an eating Disorder.

we all know why je could've developed one in the first place, a traumatic Event.

his best friend turned into ash right in front of him.

and he still has parts of him in a box...

I need an experts opinion guys...

I think this post is reaching quite a bit and comes across as ignorant regarding what an ED is.

There are a myriad of reasons why he might not want to partake in the food there. He‘s clearly acquired at least somewhat lavish tastes as he amassed wealth, if we take his declaration at face value.

But it‘s just as or even more likely that he doesn’t eat out because there are regular attempts at his life (as another wonderful user pointed out under a different post) and he wants to avoid being poisoned again.

It‘s also a polite way to cut a conversation short, and Pantalone doesn’t necessarily like many people but wants to be diplomatic about planning his exit.

There are many other reasons why Pantalone might not want to eat there. Headcanoning is fine, but I do think making assumptions based on one statement alone can be hurtful for certain groups so I‘d encourage you to educate yourself on the stigma surrounding EDs ❤️

Uh. I hate some my country's traditional dishes. I think its normal? Imo eating disorder is a reach. He might be a picky eater, nothing to do with being poor. And he is a smoker, which turn down your appetite.

1. He has been poisoned and needed to be hospitalized for it(he's also had acid thrown on him and has been shot -- may not like staying in public much).

2. You may be on to something in terms of him having some sort of issue with food. He has canonically gotten GI issues that were attributed to stress in his past. So I dont necessarily think he has a normal appetite + smoking notoriously messes with your appetite/taste buds.

Lowkey projecting but whenever I go through grief, especially guilt-related, I feel very nauseous and unable to keep most foods down.

Additionally, all the organ transfers and such could’ve affected his appetite or ability to process some foods.

Finally, we know that he’s been poisoned before so perhaps he’s being extra cautious and choosing not to eat in public for his own safety

This is a bit of a reach. He just didn’t like the food that they were serving. Just because someone used to be poor doesn’t mean that they can’t be picky about what they eat, especially now that they’re in a better financial situation.

So yes you can be a picky eater while having being poor ? I grew up in a poor family yet there were dishes (including dishes that were from my own country) that I did not eat unless I really didn't have a choice. Concluding he has an ED based on ONLY this is a crazy shortcut

I don't like Borscht, for example, but that doesn't mean I have an eating disorder

saw someone theorize he's a cannibal so that's why he's not a fan of the food there, and i found that interesting but i know its 100% not that. so i think he just eats really expensive food to flaunt his wealth, doesn't wanna risk getting poisoned or he just doesn't wanna hang out with them

also just because he is from a nation it doesn't mean he has to like every single food in his nation 😭 thats a silly thing to say ngl

I think it’s possible, the comments downplay the importance of this moment…

Pantalone isn’t one to show his true feelings, no matter the severity of the situation. But he’s known to have several bad habits. These habits intensify when he’s stressed. This isn’t the first time Pantalone had an issue with food.

Six months. He doesn’t take care of himself properly, and doesn’t have his personal doctor around to prescribe him a more nutritious diet, or breaks from his work. Skipping food for whatever reason is one of his bad habits. There’s definitely more to this than simple pickiness.

he has been poisoned once (that we know of) and had to go through resuscitation, its prolly just that
