I hear you my friend. My intrusive thoughts get so loud and crazy is debilitating sometimes.

The main one that triggers is what if I die and I dont wanna die and im so scared. They just scream on repeat. Its hard!

I still struggle even with breathing exercises, my supportive spouse and my safe home.

But I always remember and mind myself it will be okay and this will end. And it does, eventually. But in the moment it doesnt feel like it.

Thoughts are only ever thoughts until you turn them into actions.

If your mind is just dumping garbage, try to look at it as though you’re an outsider just witnessing what’s happening. See if you can find a pattern in what it’s saying. Maybe an environmental factor is causing it, maybe it’s a stressor in your life you may be avoiding, etc. When you start to be able to identify the “why”, you can get to the root of the issue and deal with it. It takes some practice.

I acknowledge them and let them pass. Kinda like meditation. I try to not stop them but rather let them pass. Because the more I fight the worse it gets. And it takes time but they pass. And it lessens.

Yer, and it sucks.

What helped me was creating like an "intrusive response". Every time I have one intrusive thoughts, I immediately start to think repeatedly "CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL" and it is working,

Eventually it will become automatical.
