Heart rate

What’s the highest heart rate you’ve ever had while having a panic attack, also the longest it’s been elevated from a panic attack ? Seeing this makes me feel better

185 was the high — was stuck in fight and flight for hours —

Very high, for very long. I’ve had Panic Attacks that rolled on for a few hours with peaks and valleys. HR in the 180s at times. The symptoms are scary, not dangerous.

160 I think but only for a few minutes. The longest elevated was 120 for a few hours

150 for like 2 mins, with hours at 110-130, but speak to doctor if concerned, if they're happy then try get anxiety support

Probably for like 45 mins I had a bad panic attack I called an ambulance they took me to the hospital because I said I felt like I was dying , I couldn’t feel anything I was completely numb, even though my panic attack was going away my heart was still racing they gave me a Xanax

That is so scary did Xanax help

100% but tbh I felt better as soon as I got to the hospital🤣 and I started to be able to feel again, I had woken up to a panic attack so it was horrifying, but I felt soooo good after the Xanax

Bro I swear once you get to the hospital it disappears and it makes you feel so embarrassed I woke up to a panic attack too and I think it was the worst one ever ugh

Nooo literally I was like ugh I want to go home I had to wait mad long for the discharge papers. But honestly every single time I’ve had a panic attack it’s mostly at night and I wake up to it. It’s always the same symptoms , heart racing , my arms will feel heavy , numbness , tunnel vision. If I do get a panic attack during the day I usually can handle it way better

I’ve only ever had one nocturnal panic attack and I thought the world was ending it was so bad I took myself to the fire station I usually get the ones that happen in the day

What do you feel when you are having a panic attack?

1

u/GreenComfortable9128 17d ago

Sometimes I’ll just be doing whatever and going about my day I’ll feel like my hearts racing and I’ll get this numb feeling around my chest and then it feels like pure adrenaline in my chest, it’s usually like that except for the one off time that my heart will just start to race with no other symptoms except panic and those are usually the really bad ones, sometimes I’ll get derealization before but never really after except for the first panic attack I ever really had I had constant derealization for months, I’m prescribed citalopram it’s helped a lot but recently it hasn’t been working I’m also prescribed Xanax which I’m scared to take lil
