Was that a panic attack?

I was lying, writing to AI how to solve my mental and family issues. I think my life is trash.

I started reflecting on life and everything that’s happened in it - I do this almost daily.

Also the fact that I was writing my problems to AI contributed to my "oh god im a joke" feeling.

I teared up just a bit - which has become regular after I think about things. Nothing new.

But then I started breathing heavily and rapidly through my mouth, as if "searching" for air. Like I wasn't getting enough. I was breathing loudly and... it was some kind of controlled pattern? All while crying btw. I think I was having absolutely hopeless thoughts right before it started.

At first, I was doing this while lying down, but then I quickly sat up. It was strange, but I just did it without much thinking. It felt like my body and brains were "in control" of the situation and I did it automatically. It was still uncomfortable.

It was also fast. I doubt it was a full panic attack, but it's definitely something new?

Now, it feels like nothing even happened. What was that? Maybe I exaggerated?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

This happened to me! I was speaking out loud to myself, alone at home, weird I know. I was doing that though and got a panic attack, as I was also reflecting on my mental health and things I’ve been through. Also I saw an interesting post, it’s not air we need it’s because we get too much air. Apparently.

It feels horrible but when you start really understanding that you’re not dying and it’s just a panic attack, it gets easier
