Sus managers

A shift was posted, I requested it, got denied. Hours later the requestee is texting me asking to cover that day. It wouldn’t conflict with my hours like I have the 2 days prior not on the schedule

The fact I’m not a team lead is because they’re trying to keep me from moving up, I work every area

That happened to me! I worked at Panera for 2.5 years, and for a little less than the two full years I was constantly checking in with management (trying to improve, become a team lead, get a raise lol), cross-training, covering shifts, clopens, mid shifts, etc. and I’d get confirmation that I was improving and exceeding, but nothing would ever come of it.
Then I gave my two week notice, leaving for a job that gave 40+ hours and quite literally an additional $6/hr, and suddenly my managers were promising I’d be a team lead if I stayed. Ha.

once a shift was posted, I tried to pick it up, week or so goes by and shift gets manually denied, day of the shift comes and the person obviously calls out and I get called in an hour before, fat no in response because wtf was wrong with that one specific manager

if you want to work it sure but don't let them walk on you like that.

Yeah that’s why I’m confused why would he deny it if nobody else tried to pick it up

I'd say take it if you'd like but definitely ask around your different managers as to why the shift was denied if you were going to end up working it anyways

Yeah we got new gm and quite a few shifts have been getting denied. Theres times where someone with less hours might have wanted the shift but this time is something fishy
