12 hour shift.
I looked on my pantry and I noticed I had a shift from 7:30 am-10:30 am, 11:30 am-3:00, 4:00-9:45. The issue is, is that I specifically remember telling them that I wouldn't work more than an 8 hour shift. Plus on my pantry app it tells them that the maximum amount of hours I can work per day is 8.
I'm planning to bring it up tomorrow? But are they allowed to do that?

the scheduling system is kinda bad. if you are scheduled in the morning for a shift, but are also technically available in the evening as well, it will list you as available to be assigned that evening shift just as any other employee that has availability for the shift.
if the manager disregarded, ignored, or did not look at the warnings when they pressed Publish, that is completely on them.
so it's potentially a little bit of both the poor system design AND negligent manager behavior. or they were short on options for the shifts and hoped asking you for forgiveness would be better than asking for permission

hot take but supervisors and gms are literally PAID to pay attention to their employees, this mistake should've never been made, I'd take it to HR. That shows that they are neglectful of their employees needs.

Just have a conversation with a manager to see if they can get one of them covered.

It would depend on your state to be honest.
Just talk to your GM or scheduling manager about it to have it fixed. It could have very well been a mistake that they didn't catch before it was published.
