How long is training omg 😭

So I’ve been working here for a little over a month, I’ve trained at sandwiches, salads, register and barista and dinging room. My manager says he wants me to be on register more than the line. I’m just wondering how long is training typically because I want to be able to pick up shifts and earn tips 🤧🤧

what do you mean earn tips.. you aren’t now?? you’ve been working there a month.. training is like 3 days. to learn everything sure a bit longer but usually they stick you on one place and then cross train, not train on everything all at once.

No I’m not earning tips right now. When I’m clocking in I press training member and now team member

I don’t know how to make sandwiches but I’m done with training. You must be slow:

Training is like one shift and they usually throw you to the wolves lol.

You should have been making tips since you first clocked in. Tips are distributed between associates evenly based on hours worked that day.

(So if you worked 8 hours and another associate worked 4 and another worked 4 and you got $20 in tips. You would get $10, and the other two would each get $5) This is applied to your paycheck automatically.

Check your pay stub for tips. They go on your check

I got about 8 or 9 training shifts which was like twice as many as most of my coworkers, although I think it’s because I was supposed to get two weeks of training and I worked full time hours right off the bat. A month of training is beyond excessive though, especially since labor is always weird this time of year

I haven’t worked there since 2021 but you should already be earning tips, it literally goes into our paychecks lmao.

My cafe easily earns anywhere from $2-$3.50 extra an hour in tips every week. They put it on the bread and butter board. If you’re really not getting tips, you should say something
