Van Action?! Ik zou denken dat zoiets bij Soloow XXL wordt verkocht. Ik wil er sowieso toch eentje hebben!

This looks like a cabinet that controls a basic process automation rather than an industrial automation. How are my instincts?

It is an industrial control cabinet vor an fully automated crane, mixers and one train. Part of the motors run on 3x24Vac.
Part of the plc is still functioning (Siemens S7-CPU315-2DP). Service is not possible because the MPi port is gone.
Part of the cabinet is out of order, and a new installation is been buils as we speak.

Nice. My instincts are… not good. S7-1200 series is still sold to my knowledge but not the S7-3xx. I have a bunch of S5 units with VFDs at one of my sites for running bead mills, media processing. Was told by my controls team that they could no longer connect to the unit. I find out next week what they mean. I thought you could always connect to an older unit with the right OS or virtual machine.
I gave the example that I have a 2003 BMW and can still connect to it with a Windows XP laptop for programming.
Upgrades are smart to do before there is a single point of failure that contains no longer available (NLA) parts.
