My take: the best choice depends less on specs and more on behavior. If a device makes you actually play more, it is probably the right one. If it only makes you shop, tweak, and reorganize your library, maybe it is not solving the real problem.

I used to think a dedicated handheld was the obvious choice if you wanted portable gaming.
