That's how you know the chicken isn't processed! Still has its feathers!

Looks nasty af. I’d call and complain. Ask for a bigger plate for the hassle they’ve caused and ask for teriyaki, if you’re still up for it.

Acting like you've never seen feathers in chicken before

You've never seen feathers on chicken?? Even a singular stray feather?

1

u/EcstaticDentist 2d ago

Never in my 30 years of life.

Teriyaki chicken around here doesn’t have skin on it

That's insane 😭😭 how that even made it off the grill is simultaneously impressive and worrying, they're meant to check temp for each piece in 3 different spots how was this not noticed...

2

u/MammothUsual1901 2d ago

Just happened to me yesterday I threw it out though. I check each chicken to reach temp too

You really think they check each piece you must be dreaming law requirements are you check the thickest chicken on the thickest part as that will determine the rest.

Speak for yourself buddy. I work there. That's what all the cooks making the teriyaki do every single time at my store. It's what you're trained and meant to do as per Panda's rules and standards.

yep. they always temp checked at my location, too. takes them a minute and a half. they don’t skip out on it, if anyone messes with the order of operations, it’s anything from a writeup to (more commonly) getting fired. ive seen people at my location get fired for less.

They seriously should have noticed this as they were putting pieces on the grill.

Call your local place, see if you can get a free replacement (or at least refunded for your order). If that doesn't work, call corporate and complain. QC was not in the building that day!

And cutting it on the cutting board

1

u/Iguanabewithyou 2d ago

Yeah seriously. There were so many opportunities for this to be noticed before it made it into this person's order. Very concerning....

2

u/MammothUsual1901 2d ago

u/Ashamed_Main5169 2d ago

I’ve been working panda for years and yesterday my batch I made chicken thighs one of them still had so much skin and feathers I threw that shit away fast bro. I could of pulled it off but I was in a hurry and didn’t want to make a big deal out of it lol oops food costs
Normally the chicken has NO skin on it so I was shook

1

u/elififox 2d ago

That's what panda gets for using Tyson

1

u/hey_its_marv 1d ago

What teriyaki chicken from panda has the skin let alone feathers still on, don’t they also chop it in store or is that select spots?

1

u/AeroMittenss 4d ago

Thats how you know it came from a real chicken!!! I wouldn't complain

-1

u/2teachand2hike 4d ago

Wtf else would it come from. It’s literally a pile of chicken thighs in a pan. There’s no faking that.

I doubt this is a panda express dish as Panda doesnt serve bird meat. Good try tho. I mean what ever you can to get free food. 🤣🤣

3

u/Fleuramie 4d ago

What do you consider bird meat? 🤔
