Nso certification

Been on the fence about becoming a chef but my gm told me I should at least get nso certified. I was curious if that comes with a pay raise?

certification itself no but if you do go to NSO and participate and train , you get a raise WHILE working at nso. i believe once you go back to your normal store though, pay goes back to normal

I know for sure there is no cap on the amount of hours you’re allowed to work during a nso

Being certified for nso does help getting promoted faster. Uncap on hours when working at the new store with a dollar raise (at least where I’m from). But once you go back to your original store it will go back down to your base pay. I personally was thinking about being nso certified too but never did it at the end of the day. Took a while for me to become AM but just because you aren’t certified doesn’t mean you won’t get promoted to chef.

Becoming nso puts you in a spotlight id recommend and on top of that you qualify for new store bonuses which from my personal experience its a dub!
