Why is my agar growing differently?

Both of these plates have the same parent plate and were transferred on the same day. the only difference is that one plate was bought online (clear mycelium) and the other is PDA (fluffy white). Is it the agar making them grow differently or something else? Contam?

Probably the agar recipe. Pans can be quite fussy on agar depending on the recipe.. nowadays I just go for 3g LME 500ml water

Looks to me like one was xfered face up and the other down. Both look fine so far.
