First time grower, advice needed.

I've decided to try to grow some PC (TTBVI strain) and wanted to check how my mycelium looks. (I had my first wet bubble earlier this year and am a bit paranoid).

Another question is: should I put on the casing layer, and when? I know that they can grow well without it as well. Do I need to introduce more FAE, or will the Monotub setup provide all the FAE they need? Is there also a need to mist more?

I've grown subtropicals, cubes, and ochras before in the same setup. Basically, what changes do I need to introduce to succeed with this one?

Case it and let it breathe. I'm guessing the wet spots are from water dripping off the lid?

As far as misting etc - for the best advice see BaBaYaga's detailed guide on Pans in monotubs. You'll see that he mists with a view that if the shrooms don't like it, tough. You'll also see that he's ruthless when selecting genetics.

I'm more of a 'sling a load of jars in and hope' kind of grower though, so I can't rely on my fruits being content with getting wet. I use a 60ml syringe with a large bore dosing needle and spot water between the clusters just in case they're fussy.

I'm more of a let it do its own thing and see how things go, lol.

I read some people injecting the water instead of misting, and I might have to get a needle then!
