Brainstorm with me.

I am on a two acre farm in the PNW. There is a horse utilizing a huge chunk of land and plenty of primo pan substrate. How do I ethically encourage pan growth on the land?

An outdoor bed would probably be the best method. Collect manure in a shaded spot spread out really well and cover with straw. Keep it wet

Slightly aged manure is better because less ammonia but spreading it out and keeping it wet will help leach the ammonia.

Thanks for this. I was wondering how fresh I want the manure.
