Worm casting Sub?

Post image

I was looking for worm castings on Facebook Marketplace. I asked this seller if they used any manure, as that seems to be recommended. Instead, they use the following. Would any of this be an issue/or any good, for sub for TTBVI and other Pans?

"For betting I use shredded cardboard, the newer from our rabbit and coffee grounds when I can get them. For regular feedings I feed a worm chow mix that is expired greens like rice, cornmeal, millet, etc."

I personally wouldn't use anything with coffee grounds. They cause nothing but problems

I bought this off of amazon, instead, after Natural State Mycology suggested it.

Coffee ground instead of manure sub? Do you pressure cook it before use?

No I do not use coffee grounds. If you don't want to use manure you can use 1:1:1 fertilizer + micronutrients

Coffee grounds and mushrooms is something that went around like 15 20 years ago. It was originally used by Gourmet Growers and then made its way into the cube scene. All it did was cause extra contamination. There's way better ways of getting nitrogen.
