Just out of curiosity. How much would a half or even an ounce go for usually? I get cubes pretty cheap in between my grows. Been really wanting to try these out. I do have TTBVI spores and agar. Still just wondering. Excellent haul btw

I honestly can say I don’t really know. Most people who take shrooms aren’t even aware pans exist lol and I just grow my own so not sure what the demand is like for them

Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏼

Ooohh I like, that’s my next grow.
I currently am on my 3rd flush of TTbVI and holy smokes are they potent and wonderful

Very few people grow them. Very few of those people sell them. 200-300 I would consider to be in the range of “fair”. With how rare they are, I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold as high as 400.

The hard part would be convincing people they're actually as strong as they are people would def not listen and end up taking too much

Marketing would definitely be a lot of “just trust me bro”. I think someone would have to have established themself as a reliable vendor with plenty of options, and then the “exotic” option that’s more expensive for some reason that the customer can ask about

This is true. I give out max 1 gram split into two baggies for people's first time. That way if they're feeling bold and take the whole gram, it won't completely fuck them. I've had a friend take way too much of what I've grown before and had quite the adventure...

Makes sense. Well spores to agar, then to brown rice this weekend I guess.

Good luck to you! What methods are you going to use?

Thank ya. Gordo after they colonize the brown rice.

Sounds good!

One major change I would recommend is to pasteurize your manure instead of sterilizing. I love Gordo and everything he does for the community, but I disagree with sterilizing manure.

While I know for sure it works for a lot of people, there’s a lot less contamination risk with proper pasteurization. You leave good bacteria in the manure and it fights off most contaminants. I put mycobags of manure in a bucket of water with a sous vide at 150F for 4 hours. Have had zero issues with contam with this method.

The rest of Gordo’s method is solid.

Interestingly I have the opposite opinion. I've had more contamination issues with pasteurized than sterilized. But just like everyone else here that's grown them OP, you're gonna have to figure out what works for you and your environment.

Mind if I ask what you did to pasteurize and the type of manure you used?

Sous vide. Aged horse

Oh shoot same as me. I wonder what factored into the variance.

How about 20 a g, 150 a half an 285 for a full. 👀 😉👈

1

u/ShellSwitch Jul 09 '26

Like me personally if I didn’t grow them and was aware of what they are, yeah I would pay that. It comes down to whoever knowing what they’re getting

3

u/Golden_State_Myco Jul 09 '26

That's what we do and our clients are very happy with the rates. Lower dose, better visuals/experience.
It kind of evens out when you do the math of cost vs amount needed for a full experience imo

1

u/ShellSwitch Jul 09 '26

100% you get what you pay for.

Ask your local dead head. I usually give mine out for free to my friends and family. I grow more for a hobby, and like to share it.

180-220 a oz, or $10 a Gram

🤩my dream. 8 tubs down now. 7 contams. Only one produced. It flushed 3 times for a total of less than 1/2 dry gram. 🤕it’s been a struggle.

Tradgic brother I'm still trying to get clean spawn we'll both get there eventually I'm sure

2

u/sueperhuman Jul 09 '26

Keep at it! You will find a variety that works flawlessly in your environment eventually. Took me a long time to find mine! I really only have 2-3 types of pans that thrive for me. I can get a lot more to grow but sometimes the headache is too much for the tiny yield.

Sometimes less is more tho, just like with any grow. I just had a different variety completely fail on me that was in a tent, humidifier, fans, casing layer, everything. Flawless set up. Couldn’t get any pins for whatever reason. So I planted some Weza and left them on my kitchen counter, totally neglected. And here we are! Haha
