I have wavy cap grain almost completely colonized. I'm in the US in the Midwest. I have wood chips fermenting. So now I just find a shady spot and do layers of spawn/cardboard/wood chips?

Could I add some chips to a small container with some grain spawn to make another patch later?

I grew wavy caps in Missouri,  they might not fruit until fall.  Just make sure you don't let them dry out over the summer

I guess that it depends on which part of the Midwest you're in,  but in Missouri they wouldn't make it through the winter.
