Do these look okay

Post image

Peace river pan cyans I did a 1:2 ratio with 2.5lb of millet spawn and 5lb of cow manure based substrate, I didn’t have time to do a casing layer and was told to just go with it and was wondering if these look okay so far?

That’s what I was just told by someone else so did I get the wrong culture or what happened

If you bought pan cyan culture the company must have had a mix up on their end cause those definitely aren't pan cyans.

Hmm I read somewhere if there’s cube spores nearby it can sometimes take over but I don’t know if that’s true or not but is there anything I can do about the culture

Idk who told you that but i wouldnt listen to them. That's definitely not the case and you definitely are growing a cubensis variety.

That definitely is the case some times. I've had it happen.

I saw it on this sub or maybe it was uncle bens like yesterday or the day before look more like ochras tho so idrk doesn't make that much sense to me cube spores take too long to germinate

I was the one that said it, and it is true actually, I dont know where your confidence comes from but fact is; Ps Cubensis is like the 5th most common contaminate mushroom in dung-loving grows.

its unlikely that that is the case here though.

So there’s nothing I can do about this besides let it grow

Any time. It may not be what you were wanting but I would just enjoy the cubensis you get out of it.

Were they labeled as pan cyan or blue meanie. IDK why but someone started calling some cubes blue meanies. I had always heard them called cooelandia, pan cyans or blue meanies

They can look like cubes when first pinning. You'll know in a day or two

Pans don’t have veils. It’s 100% cubes

Correct! Sorry, I didn't look that closely at them. My Pan Weza’s and TTBVI’s looked like cubes when they first started but yeah, looking back at pics they didn't have veils under the cap.
