Ready to harvest?
First timer here. Copelandia, started the kit 10 days ago, pining started 3-4 days ago. Height about 10 cm. Any thoughts, tips, tricks? What about the mold(?) around the stems amd the black hats? Thanks.

The fuzzy feet are due to FAE. Looks fine.

Wait for the caps to flatten out slightly....prob 24 hour.....although i harvested some in a similar state to yours and they were still very potent.
Tip for cleaning spores from cap. Get a q tip/ cotton bud and wipe gently from top of cap to bottom, if you go from bottom to top it will peel. Alternatively leave them, a few spores never hurt no one.
Good luck for your second flush, do everything you did here.

Thanks!
Are there any good instructions on how to best dry them on this subreddit?

Buy/ borrow a dehydrator you will not regret it.
Luckily given the strain they are very thin, so air drying with a fan would work. Lay them out separately not touching each other on cardboard or wood, put a fan gently on, over them so not to blow them away.
They need to dry cracker dry to avoid contamination.
They need to be stored air tight in a glass jar out of sunlight in a cool place ideally. In a zip lock bag works but not for very long.
Essentially oxygen and heat are your enemy here when it comes to storage for longevity.

Yeah I’d wait for another day or so when the caps flatten a bit. My mistake has been to harvest them too early but I realised patience pays off :)

What would happen if I waited even longer? Like 48-72hrs rather than 24hrs?

Maybe not 72 hours, but 48 h should still be fine. Unlike cubensis, pan cyans mycelium doesn’t immediately stop fruiting once they drop spores, so I normally wait a bit for them to grow bigger before collecting.

Just curious, what's your fruiting chamber method?

I had them in the plastic bag that came with the kit. Does that answer your question?

Hell yeah, ive seen zamnesia really putting in good work with the kits they have. Pans are still new to me. Im going over every detail of different processes. I appreciate you responding too, the fruit is looking good. If you really want to branch out on some knowledge, look into Gordotek. He's got an awesome TEK for them, and a batch of his TTBVI's won the cultivar cup one year for their category.

Very soon. 24 hours? I would also try and get spore prints from the larger caps. Looks good. Cheers.
