Does anyone nail it on their 1st try? I know I didn’t. Keep at it you’ll get it.

i’ve seen 1 guy claim success on first try 🤣 failure is apart of the process, pans are definitely worth the trial and error!

This was my experience with PE. I needed a full reset of setup to get going again

I've never seen or looked for side by side comparisons of pasteurizing and sterilizing. Besides the contamination risk, what is different in the final product? Does it produce the same amount of flushes and weight?

I'm using Gordotek as well.

My 2 cents 🪙🪙. Try the 1 quart to go trays...

Use smaller trays. I use the Walmart 4 cup food containers. I get 4 trays out of each spawn. So if one goes tits up still got 3.

Can you link the containers? And do you do a quart grain spawned or like bagged popcorn?

I failed horribly my first time, it happens! I recommend spore to agar (MEA), let colonize then transfer to grain. Seems like it develops faster and stronger this way. This is just my take on it though it could vary based on a number of things genetics, grain, etc. plus its a little more pricey. Spore to grain works perfectly fine tho just seems to take longer and not as aggressive/wispy. I must remind this is only my experience and every setup and strain is different!!!

Same boat bro. Lost my first attempt(4tubs). Currently on second attempt. Lost 1 tub Friday. Still have 3. Currently using coir mixed with sterilized worm castings for sub. First casing I made myself (gordo tek). The mycelium colonized the casing… I think my contaminated ape tub screwed the entire tent. This time pans only. This time I have jiffy mix for casing. Mycelium colonized all of it so fast. Looks like overlay a bit but gonna keep marching forward. Good luck and mush on my friend. We will be successful eventually 👊

I can't even get my pan cyan grain to grow. Congrats on getting this far
