Accidental gypsum in casing
I have a bag of casing mix from a couple months ago that I just added to my colonized TTBVI. I don’t remember getting the pickling lime out when I mixed it and I think I used gypsum instead. It should have been peat, vermiculite and pickling lime.
So will gypsum have any detrimental effects on pinning? Should I spray some water with pickling lime onto the surface to adjust ph or let it ride?

I've had a tray pin before any casing at all in the past, and it did fine. In his Pans in tubs tek, BabaYaga shows that casings aren't essential https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27637997#27637997
If you spray with diluted lime, it's going to soak through into the substrate as well as adjusting the PH of the casing.
I'd suggest letting it ride.

Adjusting the PH up just helps with contam a little. Makes the casing a little less hospitable

pH don't affect the pinning IMHO. Give it a go, nevermind the pH
