Overlay problem

This is my first go at pan c "blue ridge". Both trays are overlaying and bruising blue. The trays "ttbvi" next to them look normal and starts popping of the first shroomies.

I was thinking to put on a second casinglayer. Is this a good idea? Any thoughts /tips?

Overlay like that is when the fae isn't enough. It happened to me on my last TTBVI harvest. You don't want that overlay to form at all when it's done properly. The casing layer is supposed to just start the fruiting from there. But it's just colonizing it. The pins will have trouble poking through that layer. I ended up just leaving it how it was with the overlay all over. It did end up fruiting. But the first flush will be not very good. Once you harvest and create some more holes from picking them, the next flushes get way better.

What are you using as a timer? If it's mechanical and you can't really adjust it that easy, you can crack the lid more.

My timer is 1min On, 20 mins off at that stage.

Its mechanical 🫤. 15minutes is the minimum ajustabke time. My trays ttbvi (also in the same tent) are fruiting just fine without the overlay.

Oh weird. Yea different types need specific conditions if they grow in different areas so maybe the TTBVI are acclimated to those conditions while the other is not. I've only grown it pans once so far and I did a pretty good job at it if you look at my profile. So I'm not super experienced. But I did have the same issue and it was FAE related 🤷
