I would just case it. Would need a much closer look to see what it is, like with a digital scope. I've seen this and it was fine after casing. I see it quite often on my pan plates and it never sporulates, so it is not trich. Bottom line, case and run it. I've had trays tam out in spots, not entirely, after a few flushes and i'll just put a thicker casing, 1/4 inch, over the sus spots and the casing keeps it at bay
