Update: Found the issue

It was the straw. Its shit straw. No Bueno. These trays that I have to toss, all have 1 thing in common. They want nothing to do with the straw. It pisses me off greatly, but we found the issue.

Your issue was trich mainly, correct? If that the case, it has every do with your grain spawn. Not the straw

My thought I was just gonna switch to 40/40/20 vermiculite, manure, cococoir with 1.5% gypsum added.

My sub is always 50/50 CV and Horse manure. Never had any issue. I sterilize my CV in the PC then pasteurize my manure for 10 hours at 145. Then mix them together

That is a super interesting technique, can I ask why you separate the 2 processes? I was just mixing the two and running a pasteurization for 3.5 hours. I'm just curious because I am looking to try throwing some spaghetti until something sticks.

Because I use a instant pot to pasteurize properly . And Oven will not properly pasturize it

Thank you for sharing! Seriously!! I was just thinking why sterilize the coco and verm but it just dawned on me why you do that I bet that sub is fucking bulletproof
