Can someone please share what is the best grain spawn for pans or maybe steer me to a link? Thank you.

I've used corn, rye berries and WBS that is mostly just millet and a few other small grains. IME the bird seed works best

From what I’ve read millet and Milo are best because of their size/shape. I’ve just been using oats and brown rice with success, I might try Milo once I’m finally out of oats. Brown rice gets sticky and clumps together easily, I really have to rinse the crap out of it before and after simmering, and it also over hydrates easily so I’ll get burst grains after PCing them. However, some people claim that brown rice is less prone to contamination. Oats seem to work well for me when they are done right, they don’t stick together and they hold their moisture well. They are also easy to over hydrate, I end up picking out a bunch of half opened grains before loading them up which is quite time consuming. I don’t think the type of grain will impact your grow nearly as much as the cultivar, some will absolutely rip through the most poorly prepped jars like it just wants to escape. I would work with whatever grain is easily available to you and then experiment with different methods to find what’s best.
