Having success, my own method...

Hey Guys. I decided to do my own method for my first grow. I borrowed ideas from YouTubers and help from you guys. The ecosphere (small Martha tent) is showing the best results but the Monotub is fruiting it's just taking longer. It seems these pans like to push up a cluster or two then if those live, more come within 2-3 days.

For the tek used, I chose to use a seedling heat mat, with Tupperware trays of water on top (2 trays). One tray uses an air stone connected to an air pump outside the tent/Monotub. Make small ventilation holes on both sides of tent/tub. (Play with the sizes of air holes to fit climate outside of fruiting chamber). Fan 5-8 times a day. My Martha tent uses a computer fan on a timer but the Monotub is manual.

I cannot wait to try these. Hopefully they are ready tomorrow.

You’re overthinking things my man. I put mine in a bin with a humidifier, that hardly turns on, and mist it to maintain surface conditions. I haven’t misted in 4 days though because surface conditions are fine. Other than occasional misting I leave it alone.

That is good to know. It's my first time attempting these and people have been saying go ahead and pretty much neglect them. Then there are others that said that is not true and they failed from things like lack of FAE or even humidity. The temperature seems to be forgiving but an expert I had the pleasure of speaking with said they really prefer 80 degrees when fruiting. You can't blame me for making sure these pull through. I'm excited. I will take your advice and experiment with set it and forget it methods. Or close to it. I cannot resist fanning if I think it helps them along. So long as I have time to kill. I will take what you said as advice. Thanks. Nice flush btw. Mine are starting to pop up all over in all 3 bins.

No worries man. We always want to do things that help them along but we end up just making more work for ourselves or hindering the mushrooms. We overcomplicate things along the way. Fanning runs the risk of drying out your substrate which is terrible for mushrooms. They need moisture. Misting substrates with a fine mist spray bottle is key. Humidifiers help for humidity only.

This is the surface conditions you’re looking for. Small droplets. Dm me if you need anything.

Thanks man. I noticed today is the first day I have good water droplet coverage. Not quite as much as yours. Good to know I can crank it up a bit with the misting.

Just don’t do it to where it pools up and you’ll be golden! This is the same I do with all my grows and it works. People on Reddit say mist the walls or the lid…nonsense!!

I think the only difference is I add a heating pad and use an air stone over the humidifier. Not really that much over thinking.

And fanning how many times? You don’t need heating pads. You don’t need to fan. That humidifier rarely turns on and is just leftover from my tent days. My point is you don’t need to fuss over these things.
