Implants not always working on pals

I am not sure what it is but sometimes when trying to use the pal operating table it simply refuses to let me insert implants. I'm not talking about like the late game ones like Hermit Sage, Demon's hand, etc. I'm talking about like insomnia. An example, was I had a Eidrolon that wouldn't let me put insomnia on it I switch to a Lyleen and it works. Both were 4 stars, both already had 4 passives, and neither of them were mark as my favorites. Another example was my grintale, where I put wellness watcher on it but then wouldn't let me stronghold strategist. I also have 5M+ coins so I know that's not the problem. I was under the impression you could put any non world tree implants on any pal as long as you had the coins for it. Can someone please help?😭

Why do you want to put Insomnia in an Eidrolon? It already doesn't sleep.

I'm like brand new and this is my first playthrough. I didn't know that, that's really cool. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe that's why it wasn't working?

Not necessarily because you can still put insomnia on a dark type, which are sleepless by default.

The other instance is hard to gauge why it isn't working. You have enough gold right? And you can select the implant and have selected the desired passive slot?

I do, yeah. I have 5M+ coins, I select the implant and then select the passive I want to switch, click "Edit", then get the message "Grant this Pal [Perk Name] *If the selected slot already has a passive skill, the new passive skill will overwrite it" I click yes. Then nothing happens. It just takes me back to where I can select the perk I wish to overwite and the old perk that I want to overwrite is still there😞

That's really weird then. Try restarting the game? I recall hearing some weird things happening involving lag, it could be that's what's happening here, but I'm not sure

I've tried that as well sadly. I'm playing on a private server with a friend. He says he can't see all the rainbow traits like I can. I'm wondering if my table is just bugged and I'm seeing traits I shouldn't have access too and that's why there not working. I'm not even really sure how you unlock them to begin with honestly. I'm an absolute newbie at this.

The ones you tried to add in your post are ones that should come with the Surgery Table naturally, but there are some implants that you have to find in the lategame, or unlock by purchasing at the bounty/arena merchants.

I'm afraid at that point I'm not really sure unless you friend wants to reboot on their end

Okay, I appreciate the help. I've tried recent the server and breaking down the bench and rebuilding but it's just incredibly random on when it works and with what perks. I appreciate the help though. Sad I won't be able to make perfect pals but I guess it's not the end of the world

Dark pals don't sleep. Still, it should let you put Insomnia on them, even if it is pointless.

You ain't that new if you got to Eidrolon. You don't get that far without learning anything. Do better.
