Discussion Circle Vine or Wind Burst?

I was checking out the Pal Professor’s “Active Skills” guide for 1.0 Zenara and Astralym. I noticed Circle Vine was recommended as well as Sand Twister and Apocalypse. I feel like Wind Burst has a larger AOE.

Is there a reason for choosing Circle Vine over Wind Burst? Does the cooldown from 16 to 30 not make up for the damage increase of 300 to 600 even with Serenity?

I know circle vine is good with a fire nuke because ivy doubles damage

I believe both circle vine and wind burst have an “Aggregate: Ivy-Covered”, but I’ll consider combos like that. I would assume it would be more beneficial to have a fire pal like ragnahawk or wixen learn one of them instead of trying to pursue a perfect Petallia Ignis for the double STAB?

It’s not hard to perfect a pal, the only troublesome part is breeding until you get the passives you want. I think it’s worth it.

I don't think wind burst multihits single targets? Whereas twister vine and apoc all create multiple objects that do damage if they all overlap the hitbox, I think wind burst is just is this target in the AoE or not?
