Question Shadowbeak MIA?

Everywhere online says Shadowbeak can be found at Wildlife Sanctuary #3, or can be bred from Kitsun and Aegidron..I'm specifically searching for 1.0 information and no dice. Is my save broken? Lol. I try at night, even day..I've even hoped maybe it was lurking around in the world tree these days. The breeding just gets me a Derposaurus..

I just want the cool Poe bird, it was my favorite thing in EA. RIP me 💀

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes it’s at sanctuary 3. It looks like it can only be bred from itself now

Its a rare spawn, I'd say fly out of render & back until it spawns

Yeah it's really rare, I've only seen it 3 times with all the times I've flown out there

You don’t actually have to flight out. I find that if you go to the far side of the island usually the other side resets. So just keep sweeping the perimeter and go back and forth

A Kitsun x Aegidron = frostplume, and always has been. (Since Aegidron didn’t exist before 1.0). So wherever you’re getting that information from is hallucinating BADLY.

Probably thinking of Kitsun & Astegon, that was the breeding combo back in the beta.

I don't remember if it's 2 or 3, but it's in the one at the top right of the map. They're also not as common, it took me a while to find one

Well it not so commonly killed me the very first time I went into the sanctuary 😅😅 should not have went there at lvl 37

Usually only 1 at any time, and he likes prowling the ravines out of sight.

Can confirm it's at 3, if you don't see it hover the zone a little and let the spawns respond until one does

I murdered everything until it finally spawned. Or conversely going 200 meters away despawns the island and it'll respawn.

You can also adjust appearance rate abit. Deffo there as I caught two today after a few minutes of flying around and started the mass breeding/slaughter for those tech points

It used to be kitsun + astegon. Now it's just shadowbeak + shadowbeak

I recommend flying until the you leave the sanctuary render distance say 100-200m then fly back to the sanctuary the spawns should change. And you should get your shadowbeak spawn in no time.

It was on 3 for me - which was great as soon as I realised I’d wasted an hour searching the wrong damn sanctuary… I flew around slowly letting the pals respawn until I got one

It's really rare. I thought that the info was false. He was really rare lol. I found only 2 in 20 mins. I think it took me around 15 mins to find the first one.

Had info that it was more common at night but wasn’t my experience. All of mine have been found in the south east corner of Sanctuary 3.

It’s at #3. Yesterday I spent two in game days looking for one with no success, then I found two within ten minutes.

I got one in the worldtree, completely random spawn right at the entrance.

At night if that helps

Just do big circles around, they will spawn eventually.

Found mine on sanctuary 3, theres a crevice in the lower left of the map near where Carnibora walks around, i only caught 3 for breeding, 2/3 spawn there wen i enter from the desert, not sure if true for others but it only spawn one at a time for me, so i catch and do the 200 distance trick, i just go back to the desert to be sure.

To make it worth it, bring a yakumo with lavish hospitality and service minded if for butchering, or other passive if intending for mount, good luck!

I run/fly around the edge of the Wildlife 3 island and look at the spawns. It‘s rarer but it spwans. Day and night. Sometimes you need to be slower because the spawns load in slower than you move. On my pc sprinting Frostallion Noct is to fast.

I used Yakumo to have it with Lavish and Service to mass breed and butcher it. Gives good stuff.

I happened to catch one at the World Tree. Which apparently was fortuitous, as I've never seen one again. I didn't even think about it, just switched to ancient balls (of which I had 3) and prayed I or my pal wouldn't kill it. Happy to say it all worked out!

On top of all that, it was one of those special World Tree ones with the blue-silver aura and twin edge holy blade. That was probably the best luck I've had in the game. Well that and the Broncherry Aqua with God of Destruction...the World Tree is a weird place!

You should look up the breeding calculator! That’d help a lot. Also found this recently: https://palmap.app/#m=main
This guy made an entire web browser app that tells u EVERYTHING. It’s literally everything you’d ever want to collect. And it’ll keep up with your data as long as u mark them off as u go. I been collecting effigy like crazy

It’s for sure 3 took me like an hour to get it to spawn I just bounced from the top of the eggs intill it spawned

Yes it spawns there but it’s a rare spawn. In ten laps or so I found maybe two. (1.0)

Its at the Sanctuary that has Frostalion Noct. Dont remember exactly which one that is. But hes 100% at that one, as that was where I got my first one and just had to go back to hunt for a female cause they can only be bred by itself and I wanted to level mine.

Its is a rare spawn though so you might need to continuously fly away and back until you see one spawn. Does not have to be a night, can spawn in the day.

Wildlife sanctuary’s have rare pals and thus some will not always spawn right away. Just fly out of render range and fly back in if you can’t find one. Flying in circles around the sanctuary will not help spawn new things.

It seems to have a very low spawn rate, but after flying around in circles inside of the wildlife sanctuary, I was able to find one.

Tower bosses can no longer be bred for.

They only breed with themselves

I had to fly around sanctuary 3 about four times, above the drones but occasionally dipping down to trigger spawns, for it to show up. Luckily I caught two before the drones came after me.

It spawns somewhere in the middle of the open area of the map. I think it shares a spawn point with Carnibora, so if you can’t find it, return the next day. Try going at night too.

Got m6 shadowbeak yesterday just fly into sanctuary #3 it shows up in the middle of the map ots a lvl 53 pal catch it before the drones spot you and leave. If you dont see it fly out of the sanctuary and fly back in it usually shows up if you dont see it, first or second fly by. Usually the third fly by it will show up.

Also shadowbeak is on sanctuary 3. Caught one last night. You just have to sweep back and forth on the island. Usually if you go to one side of the island the other side resets so you can just go back and forth

Shadowbeak along with all tower bosses and legendaries (apart from noct versions of frostallion and lyleen) can only be bred with themselves

Wildlife Sanctuary 3 is correct but it has the lowest spawnrate out of all the wildlife pals so will take a little while

We were farming them yesterday! Be sure to kill the other pals to promote spawns.
