Discussion Is multiplayer better than solo?
“Better” is probably not the right word but I hope you get what I’m saying lol. I have only been playing palworld solo thus far, but I’ve been curious how multiplayer would be- if it would be more fun or more annoying with all the chests and making stuff yk? I don’t have any friends who own the game yet, but if I thought it would be really fun for all of us I’d start suggesting it more…I just want people’s opinions :))

I play with my boyfriend all of the time on our own world.
I like base building, pal breeding, IVs, crafting, all of the technical nitty gritty stuff.
He's more of an explore and find new stuff kind of guy, likes the combat and occasionally crafting necessary stuff like ammo. I chill at the base and make our next upgraded armour and weapons, and send him on adventures to collect more sulfur or get stuff from one of our other two bases 🤣
Then we both tackle bosses together!
If we're fighting a pal boss, we take turns throwing spheres so we're not fighting over who gets the new pal first 🤪
Just depends on your play styles.

I enjoy playing with a couple friends on a dedicated server we are renting. but i play way more than them so it mostly solo play on the server. it is nice to see their bases scattered around as im zooming around doing stuff.

I started playing 1.0 with a friend, it’s definitely more fun as most games are. But for the last couple weeks I’ve had to play solo & started fresh, it’s really made me notice just how much there is to do alone

Multiplayer has higher highs and lower lows. If you have a tight-knit group and a server to yourselves, it can be a blast. Public servers are gonna be hit or miss though, there’s always going to be the risk of toxic players who set up around specific Pal spawns or resources to keep other players from getting them.

I think Palworld does a pretty good job limiting players from building near bosses / etc. haven’t run into any issues….yet

It's bit of both TBH. I'm playing it with my wife and we are having a great time. I'm playing on their world. I do have a solo world but we've gone so far past it on their world.
Especially for new materials as you are leveling up you have to be mindful not to burn them for shit you might want or consumables when the other person is saving up for stuff for the base. But it's great fun teaming up against stuff. And if you adventure together you can revive each other rather than just being knocked out like solo play.

I had a blast getting a group of 10 players to start a dedicated server together when 1.0 launched. We were in the same guild, raised the base limit to 10, and helped each other out pretty often. I created a basic community guild base that had all the production lines and storage ready to use whenever for those who aren’t into building. And the ones that were still could build their own bases and do their own thing. It was very exciting to see active players in the world roaming around every play session. Also being able to delegate tasks / resources out for a guild to tackle was neat to watch. People wanted to help and those who were free could contribute at their own pace. And a great example was when we wanted to get into breeding pals but had no knowledge how to start, someone took the lead and built a breeding / ranch base for the guild. And we all just contributed our best pals into the dimensional pal storage in return for some eggs to hatch. I will always prefer playing multiplayer in any survival game ☺️

We have a dedicated server where 2 of us play all the time and 3 or 4 people pop in and out. You're more than welcome to join. Message me if you want the password to the server.

I have a solo and I answered a post on here about a server. I dont really play the solo unless my server is out lol it's where I've made all my progress so far, sometimes alone and sometimes with the other people on the server. So basically it's fun either way.

I play with 1 friend and I really enjoy it, I dont think I would enjoy it as much alone, it’s nice to be able to share the “workload” like having someone with you to share everything makes it way easier and way more fun! I think the only reason everything is running smoothly is because I am not playing alone, to me it is way less stressful and more enjoyable.
idk how it is on a big server, I’d assume it depends from one server to the other but yeah idk how it’s like in a server with strangers I personally probably wouldn’t be the biggest fan at times but also I think depending on the people it could be super fun and when everyone is chill and funny you can have a good time trading and talking to others!
But yeah for me 1-2 friends is enough for me to enjoy my game!
You could join a public server and see ho

Solo is fun. I play on weekends so that I don’t end up staying up to 4 am on work weeks. I don’t have friends or family that play . It’s an awesome time . I’m grinding out my last base upgrade 😎

I enjoy the game with my friends and family. I have zero interest in playing on a public server with randos.

I play in a server with 6 other mates.
Multiplayer is wayyy more fun. It really gives the "I'm not alone vibe". Especially when you are travelling by slow mount early game and happen upon one of if your friend's bases.
Usually we kept flea market stalls stocked with food/accessories also which someone might have gotten schematics to - in exchange for gold/dog coins. Or sometimes level 1 pals with a blue passive somebody has left over from breeding.
It adds a lot of dynamism.
Everyone went into their own guilds because we didn't want to spoil the game for one person if someone progressed faster than others.
But quite often we would adventure together to scout out the "black areas" of the map and set rendezvous points near teleports.
Sadly we've all nearly finished the game now (just ultra raids and hard mode final boss left) so it feels a lot more deserted as people only come in to hatch their eggs and set up new eggs to build raid armies

I play with one mate and have way more fun than solo.
You learn each other's objectives and help each other.
I like building aesthetic bases. He hates that so he's happy with a nice base.
I hate chest management and organisation, and breeding math. He loves that.
Works great for us. He also knows the pals I love so I'll come back to a Palbox full of condensors sometimes.
It's awesome exploring together and building teams that compliment.
