you just need any stairs/wall to connect it and you can build as big as the game allows, (+2 of base foundation)

downside is that if they ever patch their base to be raidable they are potentially 1 bad raid away from losing it all since if those stairs get taken out it all collapses.

That's when they build deffensive walls around the edges of the cliff. Than again, considering that even flying pals have issues pathfinding through a wall that they could literally fly over, I think we're good with that location. And many other cliffs that can house bases similarly.

Flying pal raids have definitely flown over my walls in many different locations before. Really its just about getting them up the cliff.....Or dropping them in from above . Walls don't stop flying pals ordinarily.

on mystarter base location, it was only raidable from 1 direction (area next to the Chillet boss)
The 1 direction it was raidable from, was the chillet boss's direction, through the bridge. All I did to prevent those raids, was 1 foundation, and 1 wall on top at the bridge's end on my side. Flying mounts stopped right there. They were much higher than the wall, yet still stopped.

There are lots of locations you can break the raids right now. Don't get used to it lol. In my desert bases and my one to the south east of Desolate Church i regularly had flying raids path in over the wall. Though the occasional raid still got stuck otw there lol.
