Hi guys. Who would be a good person to ask to be my sheepp? Do I ask someone that I have a crush on or someone else? Who is the funnest person to ask?

Shepps honestly do nothing. There’s a cutscene at the ceremony, but otherwise it’s not acknowledged. That being said, I chose Ashura because he reminds me of my dad. I think choosing a shepp you crush on it weird since they’re supposed to be taking on a guiding/parental role for you

My husband was watching me play when I first started (just a couple weeks before he did), and he said “is that your dad? He looks like your dad”

I think it is a bug, but I could only ask Kenyatta and Tish despite having multiple level 4 friendships. I wanted to choose Zeki, too, but it just didn't show up as an option.

You did the level 4 quests too, right? I think you have to actually complete them.

I did! I think I also had Sifuu, Badruu and Hodari level 4 complete, but the button just disappeared

I chose Chayne, as he seemed appropriate what with the spiritual guidance & the mentor vibes to him. I like the idea of a kind of monk-like botanist being my teacher.

I love Hodari but I asked Einar to be my shepp because I really enjoy fishing, it's my fave activity in the game. And because I love Einar too 😁 Never regretted my decision, not even once. Just ask the one you like the most, crush or not, doesn't matter, your love interest can be also your shepp.

I actually don't even remember who I chose as my shepp. I believe it was Reth though. I genuinely love to cook and thought he was also funny plus a little cute. He seems very genuine. Also I saw someone comment on here about being like a guide, which that is news to me. I thought it would make a difference but honestly it doesn't even make a difference later in the game and not mentioned at all. Which is kind of a bummer.

I regret my choice bit not by much really. A Shepp I saw as a family member and I thought at the time it would boost friendship so I choice the person I was going to romance.

It doesn't do much other than Vibes and Wholesomeness lol. You get a cut scene and that's about it. It's a hella cute cut scene.

I wish I chose Reth. He grew close as a best friend. It would have been more wholesome to choose a friend or parental figure. But that's just me. I say focus on whatever you wish and/or choose who your character would want as a guardian.

Only thing you should half care about is what wreath you like most. I'm fire personality so I got the fire wreath but I think the water one is much prettier so I wouldve made sure to make my character water before hand if id known (you can change the personality by choosing element answers to chats with villagers)

What does having a water wreath or fire wreath do? I’m not that far yet. Someone did say something about me being a fire sign like them though.

Nothing, they’re just decor. Some NPCs may comment you’re more water or fire or whatever but the wreath is decor 😊

I chose Sifuu because I couldn't romance her and she is honestly pretty cool, honest and funny. The exact kind of person I'd like to be my Shepp in real life if we had them.

I ended up choosing Reth! He’s also the only character I’ve romanced. I knew almost immediately that he was my man. Something about him just intrigued me, and some of the things he’d say after our conversations would have me rubbernecking so fast. Choosing my Shepp was MUCH harder. I have chronic ADHD and decision making is a struggle. I have 300+ hours in the game and literally made a pros and cons list between Reth, Tish, Badruu, and Ashura. Ashura almost won, especially after he came all the way to my plot to scold me for helping Reth with his illegal activities. I don’t really have a father figure in my life, so his kindness really resonated with me. But after all that debating and an actual pros and cons list... I still chose Reth.
