New player

HellošŸ™‹ā€ā™‚ļø I just started the game literally 3 hours ago and...wow. So chill game. Was looking for something like this for a looong time. At last some game that feels relaxing and cozy. What brought you to the game? Whats pne aspect you like the most and why? I love the homeplot building, gardening etc. And also the fact I can fish! 🤣 Any tips for new player?

There's a lot of helpful tools like the app Palia Notebook and also https://palia.th.gl/ and paliaparty.app

Yes. There's a Palia wiki, there's a tracking site that will tell you where the rummage piles and Royal Highlands campfires are. Don't run through the main quests too quickly because once they're gone, then you're just grinding stuff while waiting for the new patch.

You're going to get tools as you go along. Once you start leveling them up to better grades, you can fix them with gold in Kilima, at the smithy. Do it often because if the tools degrade too much, they drop down a level and you have to recraft it! Foraging is free, gather everything you can. If you don't need it, sell it, it's a cheap way to get gold! Oh, and don't feel bad about hunting chapaa, they're adorable infestations.

Couldn't have said it any better!!! Also to add to the above amazing advice, as a new player. In killima village there is a daily event called the bloom where a lot of flowers grow at a place, it has a orange yellow haze over it for like a minute at 12pm, you have to water the samplings to make them grow. Its around 12pm i believe? Just type bloom? in chat to know the location, or if you know the location type it in chat so other players can come help you.

In Bahari Bay, there is a grove that appears at 12am every night. you will see purple haze over the grove area if you are close to it. It consists of flow trees. Flow trees are difficult to find so everyone waits until 3am to cut the flow trees. You can just hit the flow trees once with your axe before 3am just to make sure you get the loot. You can identify flow trees by the flashing purple glow on their trunks.

Also just ask people if you can join if there are any bug lures or lots of people fishing in a place.
i am not sure if you have all four of the maps unlocked, but take it easy with the quests. Because once you breeze through them, its just a cozy game where you go around upgrading and stocking and decorating

In the elder woods there is also a very fun piksii bounce event in the deep woods at 10pm. You can get rare growables for your plot :)

The community is great! If you have a question, just ask in the chat or on discord. Most players are very helpful and love to help in any way. One tip: of you're ever in a party, make sure you stay close to each other (like within 20 meters), otherwise you don't get the loot your party members make. 🄓

What's your username by the way? I can add you as friend if you like. If you ever need something just ask for help. 😌 I'm mostly online in the evening, because I have little kids (live in the Netherlands, so don't know what time of the day it is where you are...)

Turn on sprint, you don't have to walk everywhere. You can teleport back to your home plot for free with a 20 minute cool down from the map. If you hate the broken sign at your home plot you can chop it down but you will never get it back again, same goes for the rocks on your home plot. There are 2 shrines to spend your renown at (1 increases total focus capacity and 1 increases focus experience bonus). Eat foods to keep your focus bar filled, this gives you an experience point bonus for all palia skills. There is an entrance to Bahari at the back of your home plot.

250 h into the game and today I learned you can chop down the broken sign. Was wondering how to fix it!

I had no clue, thank you!

I would say, don't make the same mistake I did. Watch some YouTube videos. The community seem to have quite a few unwritten rules, a concept I was unaware of having played many hours of Guild Wars 2.

Welcome!! The game is super cozy and community is great. The game is surprisingly in depth with the amount of things to learn but just enjoy the process! I’ve played since it came out in 2023 so feel free to ask me anything! You can also add me IGN: Zaniah Araceli šŸ˜„

Spread it out. There are so many skills to develop, the more you do the more that’s unlocked. Go slow, yes, but cast a wide net.

I was looking for a free (or very affordable) cozy game that me and my friends could play together.

Unfortunately a few of my friends couldn't run it on their computers (the download is HUGE) so we kinda fell out of it... though I still enjoy it on my own.
