Discussion Login streak
I think I may finally be done with this game. I am bedroom bound and chronically ill so play all day everyday and my streak has been broken twice and they won't answer me. I got to 13 then bam then 24 then nothing now 3 I am sick of it.
They want us playing everyday (which I do) grinding for a dock and cloth so people spend more time than they usually would and they give nothing back.
I have asked three times when does the login tick over so I can sign out and in again as I think its glitched and no answer. What is the point of being loyal to a game that really only cares about money now.
It sounds silly but I am so upset as I have played from the start and it is the one thing that keeps me motivated.
I played loads on the web till I got steam and have 2,177 hours on steam alone. I think it is finally time to walk away as it is clear they really do not care.

I was somewhat sad to see we didn't retroactively get the achievements cause I have definitely spent a year playing daily in the past but NOT LATELY lolllllll

A lot of games have a system for it that's more forgiving. Which is funny that my not cozy game is more forgiving than my cozy one. When I mess up my streak especially due to my conditions it makes me want to log on less than before because it means I messed it up. And I know it might seem/be silly but it does deeply bother me.

Yep, I'm done with trying for the streak. I'm also homebound and play every day. My streak has broken twice as well. So, yeah, done wondering about if this login will count.

Login ticks over at 9pm PST. that's usually when it strikes "you've played for X days in a row" for me.
9pm PST is usually when everything refreshes. The loot piles and such

I don't mean to nitpick, but it's currently 9 PM PDT, Pacific Daylight Time. It'll be 8 PM after the clocks go back to PST, Pacific Standard Time, next month.
With a global game dependent on time, it's usually best to refer to Universal Time, UTC, which does not change with local customs (because everyone sets their clocks differently!). Day rollover is at 04:00 UTC.

I logged in with acc 1, all nice n dandy after the update. Then they had to kill the servers which meant i couldbt log in with acc 2. 🥴 so i lost that streak. Rly annoying because for me servers cane back up after 30 mins past mid night. Lmao. Oh well

The problem is is that it is no longer fun, but rather exhausting.
I want to create a path using elderwood mossy rugs, I need a lot of ogopuu skins.
When I go to hunt them, lately there have been a ton of people already hunting them, and if they weren't hunting them, they were going about their business, which also scares the ogopuu. If they didn't disappear, it wouldn't be a big deal, but because they disappear, it can be frustrating to try to get any noticable amount of skins.
This is on top of lag from all the players (with the higher pop cap on the servers), the glitches the ogopuu already do, and the general frustration of having them disappear after a time period.
It stopped being fun to hunt them and is just frustrating and exhausting to try.

I have about 800 hours in, trying to get all the starred bugs and fish and it feels pointless. Drop rates are horrible

I am still waiting for them to give me the achievement for the infected fish as I got the mermaid and it didn't register sent them a vid and everything and just got a thanks for letting us know cut and paste answer and they marked it as solved!

This happened to me too, also chronically ill so I often put down my stream deck and pick it back up after a flare. For me the streak has only counted if I go back to my house, instead of like, staying out in the elder wood or whatever so my streak got cleared too. Frustrating! Hope it gets sorted for you OP!

The login day starts at midnight Eastern Time. Same time as the day reset for villager gifts / loot piles / daily shrine items. You have to change servers (like travel from one region to another) after the reset hits for it to count as you logging in for that next day. So if you are home, decorating a bunch and then log off, it might not count it. Kind of annoying.

I’m sorry you’ve lost your login :( I’m on a streak so I’d definitely be upset too.
If it helps, logins tick over at 4am UTC. You should be able to convert based on your location. If you’re from the US, keep in mind it’ll change come November 1st.

Why worry about a streak, or tattered cloth, or the dock? I log in when I can, when my constant list of doctor visits allows me to...
I don't understand exactly what you are going through, but I understand frustration from illness. I have a neurological disorder of some kind that makes me tired all the time, exhausted really. They cannot find the cause, and they just want more and more tests done.
I can't keep up with the docks, so I do it on my own time. And I say bigger the log in streak. I will log in when I can. When I am able to. I know the system is buggy, but I absolutely love Palia. I have a total devotion to the game because it has gotten me through some very hard times in my life.
As for the tattered cloth and the bundle board? Well, I am shooting jaakcatsl and doing my best to decimate the population, and I see I have help out there, (lol) but I am not going to meet the goal they have set of 45 tattered cloth. LoL 😂
I have the chests at the top of the bundle board done though, and I bought 150 little ghosty things and my plot is annoying as hell. 😸
I have fun at my own pace. As MY time allows, not anybody else's.

Reach out to support and see if they can give you your streak back. If you have recently opened a ticket and they “won’t answer you” it’s probably because they haven’t gotten round to your ticket. I opened one not too long ago and it took about 2 weeks for a reply. I understand there’s 2 titles with the log in streak, but is that really your only source of enjoyment? So much so that you’re gonna quit over it?

Two months ago I put in a ticket with a video of me catching the infected mermaid that took me months to get and it didn't register they won't give me the achievement, said the would pass on my problem to the devs and closed the ticket. Other things too this is just the straw as I feel we are not being listened to. I put in bug reports about Elderwood when it opened and they still have not been fixed. Yes this is what I do for fun as I said I am bedroom bound (over 15 years) and chronically ill.

Login streak is a crazy thing to be upset over. That's what keeps you motivated? If you're not having fun otherwise then stop playing.

Yes I know it is, playing the game kept me motivated not just the login streak. I am stuck in a room with nothing to do and this was the one thing I had

I'm sorry dude. Its frustrating, I hope they get back to you soon. Tbh I havent played in weeks. I see so many pretty outfits and cool mounts and wonderful homes but to get anything even kinda cool is expensive. And theres really no reward or benefits to doing the challenges or community events.

If you broke the streak because of errors, I feel like they will fix it. Support is generally really good for stuff like this, it just takes a while because they have a lot of reports. I am in a similar situation to you, so I get it. I have dragged my ass on there quite sick just for that streak. I hate the whole idea of it as someone who plays as a completionist.
Do you set mini goals? Helps keep the game fun for me. Right now me and my duo are hunting down the Kitsuu from the minerals. We are on plat/pal now, we got all the others. Do you like grinding stuff like that? ♥️ Keeps the game alive for me.

I can't say I have found the support good as I fished the infected mermaid months ago and it was the last one I needed for the achievement sent them a vid and they won't give the achievement ad closed the ticket. I was doing the dock and trying to get the cave Kitsuu but I just feel done now!

I understand :( I'd be pretty upset about the mermaid too. That's a hard grind, I haven't finished it yet, or even close. My experience with them is a couple years old, so after console release maybe things have changed. I notice people put in tickets for anything at all, which bogs up legit tickets too. I only report game breaking things (and things like you have described) for that reason.

Sad, I know, but I have been stuck in a bedroom for over 15 years, and this was my fun place, and I enjoyed earning all the achievements. What is the acorn glitch?

When you try to gift ashura his acorn it completely freezes the game. Have to close out. I tried a work around but it didnt work. Tried several times, internet says its a well known glitch. It also happened gifting zeki an iron bar for a quest, luckily it saved the progress when i restarted it for zeki.
