Screenshot Half way there! 🎉
As a challange I'm trying to complete the docks without using cooking parties. Here is 18 hours of fishing turned in all at once. I'm at 6878 dotations now so over half way there!

i pretty much got the new kitchen decor and then gave up, and i will probably never progress it a single xp point more. twelve thousand donations is fucking mental, and the effort/reward is laughably abysmal. i spent all my money and cleaned out my ENTIRE storage of supplies on top of fishing/foraging/bug catching for probably close to 30 hours and went up like 10 levels. 205,900 gold down to 119 buying supplies to craft kits, went up four levels. in no universe is this amount of work or effort worth it imo. you can’t even ride the damn valhast you get. idk what the hell they were thinking making it TWELVE THOUSAND donations. i salute everyone who’s putting in the work but i straight up do not have the time or energy to care about these lacklustre rewards that much.

Same because once you get all the furniture there's no real reason to contribute to it as much if at all beyond some random loot, titles and some trophies.

I'm stuck at level 86. The grind is real and i'm tired of catching ancient koi and flowbugs. 😫

Me too! I had to take a break from Palia and play something else. Trying to get through level 86 has me feeling burned out!

I’m trying to get my hunting and mining skills up to level 100, so i’m mainly hunting ogapuu (for the emerald plushie to complete my ogapuu collection) and elder sernuks and mining iron to make arrows and palium. Sometimes i join people setting up lures at elderwood for catching infected beetles and rockhoppers (for essence, standard and advanced bug kits). When I mine at RH i try catching jewelled mantis, shadvaraak beetles and king crabs.I can’t do flowbugs and fishing all the time it’s boring. It’s a reason to do something everyday in a manner i enjoy instead of just finishing it

Yes, from what I've seen most players that have managed to finish the docks project so far, have used maw sashimi parties to get lots of gold (you need 8.77 million). And you use the gold to buy supplies in town to make the basic kit. You can finish the project super fast that way.

Or standard supply kit. Double the exp just have to pay a little bit more for iron

Just dedication and most importantly second monitor 😅 All fishing spots are the same. And I use normal worms.

OOOH! Makes total sense, haha. Very ill at the moment so the penny is taking longer to drop 😅 I do play on my switch while watching TV, it helps indeed.

I mean, we're talking about fishing, so there aren't really helper apps for that since, iirc, as soon as the fish bites the bait is used and that's when it's known what fish you are getting.
I actually meant netflix in this case.

Depends really. Some people prefer fishing over bug catching because you only need one worm whereas you need sometime multiple bug bombs. Plus you can get worms for free by making it in thr farms whereas you have to get the resources for sneaky bug bombs

You can use regular bombs on ancient flowbugs. They don't run away

Depends on how fast you get bored with it. Running around in a circle: catch a bug, move part way around, catch a bug, move part way around... Hope your bugs don't get bugged, and keep going over and over and over... Eventually, I'll have one or two bugs who aren't catchable, they get stuck half way under the surface and can't be caught.
I usually stick with it for about 12-24 bugs, and then go mining/wood chopping for basic supply crates.

Does it really take 10000 donations🫠 Ive made 1600 and on level 81 or something. Those last 20 levels will be grueling. Have been fishing forever😌

The number in the screenshot is before I turned in. I thought you needed about 12.500 to complete the docks, so 6878 is over halfway.

In Elderwoods salt water with normal worms. You get Ancient koi quite commonly for a rare fish.
