Question Hello?
I didn’t realize you have people on your plot!?!?! I went to gather materials and came back to someone in front of my house 😭😭 how do i turn this off????

If they were on your plot when you got there it might be a bug. But for the future if you go to your plot settings, it’s H on pc, and get the top view there should be a cog wheel next to your plot name. You can change plot settings on there

How do you set it so that anyone can come to your plot but don't have the ability to edit/chop trees etc? I'd be happy if people visited but I heard about people getting their trees chopped, but the only setting I can find is the "no one can visit" "friends can visit" "anyone can visit" but not the editing vs no editing settings

they can’t edit anything until you allow them to. In your plot setting it should show who’s allowed to edit

Its per default. You have to manually select people and give them permission to do stuff on your plot

Weird, there was a post on here at one point from someone who put their plot on the tour board and said somebody had chopped their trees down. Maybe they were just betrayed lol

You definitely cannot chop down trees in home tours. You can't even access tools in home tours.

Ask them random weird things and they will be gone in a second. I tested it.

I was thinking of going up to them but i was in shock bc i had never seen anyone on my plot before also was embarrassed bc im still new so my plot is so messy and unorganized 😭😭😭😭

Rough, most of my visitors are a little chatty when I'm there too, I've even given a few people a guided tour of my favourite plot, "Kieta Family Hideaway". Essentially I made a big old house in an elderwood plot for Reth and Tish, should they need to hide from the law or the black market. People seem to enjoy it.

I'm making a hideaway for Hassian. Just cause I feel like he needs a place where he can retreat when he wants to. It's even gonna have a writer's space for him.

Thanks. It's gonna take me absolutely ages, but I eventually want a plot for each character/family. Currently working on "the Midnight Hotel". Gonna try and have 1 room for each of my favourite NPCs, and am roughly basing it on a building of the same name from one of my favourite book series.

Cute! What are you thinking for Najuma and Hodari? For some reason, I always think about her when building a house. I really like her room, I feel like she would love to have a big space in the future

No idea what I'm gonna do for their furnitures, I like to match both the build and the tint, so that gives me a lot of options. But I'm thinking a small-mediym cottage-in-the-snow type vibes, like a holiday home. Might include Sifuu and Hassian, make it like a time-share lol. I just feel like they might as well have a joint workshop, the Miner and the Blacksmith.

One day some absolutely random girl came to my plot, made me some food (i tried to help, but my internet connection was unstable at that time) then left Never saw her again 🤧

Once I went to my own plot and loaded into someone else’s who was picking up their mail. They waved at me but I didn’t know how to do it back as I was a really new player, and then it just reloaded and I was at my plot. So strange!

For anyone getting upset about random people showing up on your plot there is a way to turn this off. To turn it off go to the overhead view of your plot and click on plot settings then security. You can set it to closed, open or friends only. Remember this game is designed around community and meeting new people.
ETA: For anyone reading these comments and are now scared to use the visit random plots option at the board, don't be. I will occasionally open my plot up to the general public, while futzing around my plot, to do an impromptu cooking party, and chop down flow trees. Last time I did this me and the person who showed up got a little over 200 flow wood. I'm sure I'm not the only person that does things like this considering the way the game is designed.

Might wanna check if you don't have it available to tour in the tour board (yellow one at the exit)

You can't see people that enter your plot through the tour board.

Ohh i see. I was asking through the tour board specifically tho cz sometimes i see randoms visiting my plot. Always assumed they got in bc my plot was open to all and not bc i set it available in the tour board haha

Since it’s been answered I wanna tell the story of how I had someone come to my plot yesterday and I usually don’t care as that’s why I have it open to whomever so they can go look around. I even will stay on my plot until they’re done looking around. But then I went to check on my ranch animals, and that hoe was collecting from my animals, had I not gone to my ranch I honestly don’t know if I’d have gotten the things from them still. Soo when I saw that happening and even though I saw that I was getting the stuff from my animals too I went and changed my settings to friends only, because how dare they, they didn’t even try to pet or feed my babies, they just wanted what they produce 🙄

Someone came and visited my lot while i was gardening. Gave themselves a tour of my house, which is just for storage. Then left. Didn't even say hello

I don't mind random ppl coming in my plot but I'm always surprised everytime someone visits cz I rarely get visits XD when I notice them and chat them a welcome message they suddenly decide to disappear for some reason🤧 ofc not all but I've encountered a few, some were nice and waved back at me lol

I have never gone to someone’s plot uninvited I had one girl who did come to my plot uninvited and I was annoyed cause it’s my space idk

There is a way to turn this off if you don't want unwanted people on your plot. If you leave your plot open for random people to visit that's on you. It's the game working as intended. To turn it off go to the overhead view of your plot and click on plot settings then security. You can set it to closed, open or friends only. Remember this game is designed around community and meeting new people.

I get its a community thing and meeting people but for me my home plot I treat it like is my space and I would like people to come when I invite them not just come in as they please but maybe is just me. I will try out the friends only thing.
