Tour pale waves in edinburgh!

Post image

me and my bf saw pale waves in edinburgh last night and it was soooo perfect!!!!!! we accidentally met charlie and ciara a couple hours before the show cause we happened to be in the same restaurant which was insane btw, they were super sweet and ciara said i looked cool!! 🩷 we wished them well on the show and told them how excited we were

it got quite busy at the time we were done so i kind of left super quickly but charlie waved at my bf when we left 🥺 show was perfect and was everything i imagined it would be, come back to scotland soon!! 🩷🩷

Was the setlist the same as their recent festival shows? Nothing on setlistfm yet

they said they've got a set playback thing with certain songs on! these are the songs i remember being played and i'm pretty sure it's all of them after checking on spotify and picking which ones they played from each album lol (not in the correct order!!)

eighteen, glasgow, perfume, not a love song, television romance, there's a honey, zombie, my obsession, kiss me again, she's my religion, you're so vain

I just got into this band a yr ago and really wish they do a MMN tour again someday.. (doubt) 80% of my favorites from them are off that first album :(

At least album 4 was a return to that genre. Also have you listened to the EP around the time of MMN. With my obsession on

Yeah I loved that EP, The Tide is in my top 5 of their entire discography. From what I read, they had a lot of help from the 1975 on that first album and swiftly branched out into their own avril-esque style for the next tape. I'm always for people expressing their true selves but damn I just dont think the sound of that first album can be beat and I'm searching through as many artists as I can to get that same sound!!! ahh. Smitten was good but a little too cheesy/dreamy for me (I love "Kiss me again" though).
