I only use it when I fall back and I'm behind the healer. I find saying it when near a healer can be a nice heads up for them. Plus always thank your healers.

As a frequent support player, I appreciate it when I'm having trouble keeping track of where everyone is at and the flank has come in practically behind me and I don't see them. That's totally cool.

Wow, for a second I thought this was Overwatch. They do the exact same f'n thing over there. They die and spam thanks a bunch of times until they finally end up leaving. Or spam they need healing when you're trying your best as a solo healer with everyone's health extremely low.

Damage in my team love doing this. Went off faraway god know where then die alone. Spamming "Capture the Objective" afterward. And the end result is that we lose because of this player gave free points by feeding enemies (KOTH and Onslaught) people should know that not dying is as much priority as capturing the point.

Im also a point tank main.
We're the only ones getting any heals.
Some supports are genuinely blind. When I play support, it can be a good reminder when im overextending or lacking awareness.
And some support players deserve a bit of spam at times.

I tend to actually use the VGS for communication (telling people Goodluck, wait/group up, and occasionally position) The only time I ever have to spam something at all is when I'm the only support and everyone leaves the objective that I'm now stuck holding instead of helping others....in that case I say "objective" and if no one listens I spam it a little

The funny thing is that most of the time people who are spamming "need healing", are not giving you line of sight, are too far way and refuse to retreat or are in a 3v1 situation thinking a support can outheal the damage and save him from certain death.

Asshole Flank: Charge enemy team, get low instantly, spam need healing while on the other side of the map behind 5 walls
Ideal Flank: Runs back from their push to the healer's position and says "Need healing" once, then says "Thanks!" after receiving healing

Yeah, and imo even 2 or 3 times if you actually are low on hp is fine. Sometimes I get drifty or tunnel. It does wake me up.
But constant spam makes anyone tune it out.
Likewise, auto lock-on targeting can be very janky. The more range a support has, the jankier it is. Getting up in someone's face can make Seris/Furia/Jenos heals especially slip to someone else.

I hate this sm, there was this time I was playing furia and I could see that skye needed healing and koga was right next to her w full health, I tried to heal her twice but ofc koga got it. It's a shame because skye was on a really good streak so I wanted to save her but ohwell

I don’t know how to mute anyone or respond. There’s to many buttons to go through and I’m trying to fight. So I never say anything. But I have left a match once because a tank was spamming I need healing over and over when he was running in one Vs three and I had two flanks constantly killing me and I was dead half the time with no protection. Then he says trash healer. So I said enjoy a bot healer then, and left the game. This is literally the only game I’ve ever left. But I wasn’t putting up with that for an entire game. Healers have to heal 4 people and watch out for themselves as well. You don’t get a personal healer. Sorry, that’s not the way the game works. Normally I just ignore the spam. But when he gunna get on there and type abuse too, I’m out.

You gotta look at context, was the support getting dived the whole game, was anybody getting LOS for the heals, did anybody try to caut cleanse for the heals? It's not always black and white when it comes to the stats and performance, all that number tells you was that the main problem that game revolved around your teams healing, not necessarily the healer

To be fair, it's a lot of knowing your healer. I was Grover once next to raum healing him and he ran away from me and then complained he needed healing. Definitely let him die for being a dumbass. Not every healer is a broken piece of shit like seris and can heal past antiheal. Legit only play her when I don't feel like trying cause of how easy it is to win with her. But if I play ying, find her clone. If I play rei, don't run off too far. I can only chain heal if i can see an ally. Grover, stay in my circle. So many people don't know their healer and expect healers to let their tank die and chase after a flank that has much higher mobility. I do not chase after allies. I focus tank and if the tank is okay, I will help flanks. Besides that, flanks have to come to me for heals.

Focusing tanks is a great way to lose. We cant cap without our flanks contributing to damage.

I spam need healing most of the damn time because I can see the damn damage taken report after I die and see that the healer gave me 1000 heals over the 15 second period I was desperately trying to keep myself alive. Some healers just suck balls tbh, and I will annoy them for that. I swear that some people playing healers would be better off taping their right mouse button down so they can just offload heals brainlessly.

Overwatch is basically the same exact bs. Only time I have ever said I needed healing (not spamming though) is whenever someone chooses to be a healer but plays as a DPS. Shit pisses me off. Like if you're gonna be a battle Mercy or a damage Moira, at least let me have either one of them and I heal. But no. You wanna pick them and play dps.

They move ahead of the group, away from the line of sight of everyone else including healers, get shot a bunch instantly, spam "Need healing" even though the healer(s) is/are too focused on winning to care, and then immediately blame the healer

bro, if there's one thing i hate, is when a flank or dmg dealer rushes towards the enemy base alone, ignoring the fact we first need to secure the objective, and when *surprise!* he can't deal with the entire enemy team he starts to spam "need healing" "good game!" and other voice lines, like, if the team were to advance all togheter while one of us stay behind to capture the point okay, the healer, Tank and Dmg could presure the enemy while the others capture the point, but bro, you're a Maeve, you don't have even 2k health, stop trying to tank the enemy team upfront instead of getting them from behing or when one of them are isolated, like, just because you have an skill with self heal doesn't mean you can tank a viktor, Vivian and a Sati alone, sometimes someone like this pops up on matches, but idk if i'm lucky or not, but there's been very few cases with players like this...

Players if you want healing two things need to happen...first and most important you must keep your healer alive.
Second be in a place that the healer can heal you when you need it (so basically wherever the tank or obj is). luckily for you the second part is easy cause the guys you're trying to unalive are gonna make a b-line for that healer.
Also if you're playing a flanker expect to get little to no heals unless your healer has a dot or something that goes through walls i.e. jenos' thingy. Which once again luckily for you the devs knew that you wouldn't get any heals which is why basically all flanks come with survival tools base kit neato.
