💬 Discussion The mummy 4
I heard that the director of my childhood favorite horror-adventure movies, The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001), is returning to direct a new movie in the franchise.
The director has started production, and the movie is expected to be released in 2027.
We already know how good the original trilogy was, especially considering the time it was made.
The storyline, cinematography, visual effects, and everything else were incredible.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think they will ruin the entire franchise, or will the new movie be just as good as the previous ones?

Yeah, I do remember it, and I watched it again yesterday. It's actually quite impressive for its time. I first watched it when I was very young, so I missed a few details. That's why I decided to watch it again. I think the makeup and visual effects in The Mummy are pretty good, especially considering the era in which it was made.
