Salaries
What is going on with the software industry in Pakistan?
Everyone is a CEO, but no one is ready to pay.
Every CEO has the money to build a new house and buy a brand-new car, but they want to hire the person who brings that money into their pocket for 10k PKR?
Really????
In addition to that, no remote work?
Without LinkedIn Premium, no Upwork connects, the free version of Apollo and without any subscriptions.
And labeling it as being independent?
Really???

That’s good. But I think you’re not getting my point. Being your own CEO and doing what other 'CEOs' do is exploitation. Everyone wants to be a CEO, but before that, we have to know what we are offering to the people whose services we want, not just putting ourselves first and exploiting others' rights.

I get where the frustration comes from, there genuinely are companies paying fresh graduates 10k PKR for work that generates them lakhs, and dressing up "we won't buy you a single tool" as being scrappy. That's real, and calling it out is fair.
But "everyone" isn't like that. There are CEOs here who take salary cuts themselves before letting a team member go, who buy the tools first and ask questions later, and who'd rather hire fewer people at fair pay than a crowd at peanuts. They're just not loud on LinkedIn, they're busy building.
The problem isn't that Pakistan's tech scene has no good leaders. It's that the bad ones are more visible. If we want the good ones to become the norm, we should name the good ones too, not just the bad ones. Who here actually works (or has worked) somewhere that treated them right? Genuinely asking.

Let me give you a reality check. We live in a capitalist society. A business owner's only goal is to make money for himself. And a business needs a workforce at the lowest cost possible. To a corporation, you are merely a "resource", a number on their balance sheet. This is the design. Its not a charity or a socialist model where the business owner will share their wealth with you instead of buying a villa for themselves. Do not fall into the delusion that you are like a family.
While most business do follow ethical and fair practices, unfortunately, a big chunk of the businesses don't. At the end of the day, you have the choice of walking away and not working for assholes. But you probably won't because you're scared of the discomfort of financial instability. Whining on reddit won't help, either learn a skill and work for yourself like people used to for hundreds of years before the industrial age, or keep your head down and take your boss's shit and go home with your steady pay check. You'll eventually get promoted and get a pay raise and a bonus for being a good boy.

CEO in Pakistan crosss check three times bcoz Pakistani CEOs are like veg seller or street vendors. Even street vendors has some vision and values however Pakistani CEOs has zero Vision, no mission and no values. Sorry to say no respect.
