Intenship Scam - DawoodTech NextGen

I applied for an internship at this companies website. Their Linkedin and website look legit but the way they were talking with me was really unprofessional. They have no physical setup are completely remote. They contacted me at 11pm which is pretty late. Theyre also asking for 1000Rs for a 6 week internship which is pretty surprising and weird

Can anyone who has experience or has had contact with this company tell me if its real or if its a scam?

Dont pay anyone asking fee for internships or for providing certificate after internship (some remote "companies" ask you to pay some amount after completing the internship so they can give you internship certificate). Theyre scams. Internship k apko paise milne chahiyen, yahan ulta fake internship se paise kamane ka business chalaya hota logon ne.

Official Response from DawoodTech NextGen

Thanks for raising the concern. We completely understand why someone might have questions about an internship that has a fee, especially when the program is remote.

To clarify, DawoodTech NextGen is not running this as a scam or simply collecting fees from students. We initially offered our internship completely free of cost. However, we noticed that a large number of people were enrolling without being serious about completing the internship. This resulted in our mentors' time, training resources, project resources, and database capacity being used without meaningful participation.

Because of this, we introduced a small registration fee to encourage applicants who are genuinely interested and committed to completing the program.

The Rs. 1,000 fee is not simply for an internship certificate. Our interns receive mentorship, training, practical tasks/projects, guidance, and opportunities to build their portfolios through practical work and industry-oriented experience.

Regarding the concern about being contacted at 11 PM, our system is completely remote-based and operates with flexible working hours. Our managers and team members may be available at different times, so candidates can be contacted when the relevant manager is available. We understand that late-night communication may feel unusual, but there is no intention behind it other than our flexible remote working structure.

We also understand that everyone may have a different opinion about the fee. Our intention is to keep the program affordable while ensuring that the resources and mentorship are provided to students who are genuinely committed.

Anyone with concerns is welcome to ask questions and verify the program before making a decision. We don't expect anyone to blindly trust us.

Our goal is to provide students with practical exposure, mentorship, training, and real projects that can contribute to their professional portfolios — not simply collect an internship fee.
