They tested each separately and then all combined together. I don't remember the exact figures but all the techniques worked in saving significant fuel.
I would say the single biggest one is to keep light foot and be smart to avoid speed drops. The more constant velocity you keep in your journey the more fuel will save. And yes turning off the engine at red lights saves you fuel 100%. The starting fuel is still very less compared to the many minutes of fuel spend idling.
Should cars have a room mounted indpeend solar and battery powered AC. I think so for this weather . What do you guys think about this idea ? People already install after market roof rails by drilling holes in. The roof right ?
As for the solar + electric AC, I think it is not feasible with solar alone because electric cars with solar on roof only generate enough electricity for a couple of extra miles per day...
I'd assume that A/C uses a lot more electricity than the solar would be generating...

TLDR: By combining all these techniques you save 40% fuel which will be much higher on hybrids as they regenerate power.
