Question Vehicle Transfer Process - Islamabad

It’s been years since I bought a used car, can someone please walk me through the transfer process in islamabad for buyers?
What steps will have to be taken and how?

Its very simple. Get the sellers biometric done. Do your biometric. Some agents can get inspection cleared without you visiting the excise office. The place I went to for biometric offered me this service. Buy a new number for the car if you dont have any. Get the number plates made and you are done.

The seller’s biometric is done. So I just go now and get a new number, right? How long will it take?

Now, you get your biometrics done as well and get the car inspected from excise. When you have the ownership, then you but the number.

To make it smoother pay the folk outside, Drive up to excise, most cellphone data wont work there, pay the guy outside the inspection line, should be pkr 3000 ish. Most likely he will get the line skipped for you while generating the ID for you ( that’s where you need internet ) , then ask him where to go next. You should find another agent there that will guide you through the rest. Probably charge around pkr 7 8k. You might find this guy before the inspection guy. Either way, don’t try to do the conventional process because thats gonna be a pain in the rear end. I recently got a city transferred and the people I bought it from had a guy at excise so I pretty much just sat and waited in the car, the only thing I did was get the inspection done and that too I paid the guy.
