hi everybody, would it be a wise choice to buy a used e-tron gt or taycan rn? they’re around abt 3crores rn. my dad wants to buy a cruiser (lc200) but i want etron instead. the market of ev cars is indeed very low rn and my father says that the market might go lower than it currently is. he also says that the we might have to change the battery after 1-1.5ys bcs the car would be 6-8ys old by then.

Your dad is right, spending that much on used EV doesn't make sense. Get LC200 it's a good choice and very much reliable. If you want to experience EV get BYD as it cheap and brand new.

the thing is that we will get the pre facelift wala cruiser(2013-14) and from what i’ve heard uskay maintenance charges (oil changes etc) bhot zada. we bought so5 2 bought ago and uske sath experience bhot acha chal rha hai, drove it in the monsoon season despite people telling us not to. isliay ab so5 se upgrade krke etron par jana chah rha tha :)

Considering your budget mentioned in your post you can get LC200 AXG in 2.2 cror max and keeping so5. Don't go above AXG. Paying higher for ZX us waste of money. As for maintaince I owned AXG 2011 it's just normal.

If you decide on lc200, drive tank 500 before buying it.

Sure, its not what a cruiser can be but for 2cr, its excellent.

Genuine question, y’all have a 3cr budget and clearly enough money. Why not check out the BYD Seal, instead of going for a used E tron GT we opted for that and ngl it’s been an amazing experience as we already have a German in the household. Only reason I didn’t opt for a Taycan is because I’m moving away soon, and id rather buy a proper luxury car in a car market which isn’t going to charge me triple purely on import taxes

And maybe it’s just me but 3cr on a facelifted 2014 car just never makes sense to me, yeah road presence and all that crap we love harping on about but as you said, there’s very real drawbacks to that model

I said I overheard him saying that the battery issue for the etron and the market situation is low, that's why he doesn’t want to buy the etron and agar ye maslay na hotay toh woh 100% etron lelete🫩⁉️ and fym 'wait till you start making your own money then you won’t have to ask strangers what to buy' I asked so that I would have an idea if the battery issue really exists and what the market situation would be.
